Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Consultant with a strong background in finance, economics, and cooperative financial training. The ideal candidate will provide strategic guidance, technical support, and training in access to finance and cooperative development, contributing to regional development cooperation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advisory services on financial management, access to finance, and cooperative development.
- Design and deliver capacity-building workshops and training programs focused on financial literacy and cooperative financing models.
- Lead financial assessments, feasibility studies, and program evaluations in development cooperation contexts.
- Support the design and implementation of financial strategies that improve access to finance for underserved communities.
- Engage with regional stakeholders, government agencies, and development partners to support inclusive financial development.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to teams and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
- Draft high-quality reports, proposals, and strategic documents in alignment with project goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in finance and accounting or business/finance management.
- At least 10 years’ experience in leadership roles, managing teams or complex projects.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in access to finance training, preferably in development contexts.
- At least 8 years of experience in cooperative financial training.
- Demonstrated experience in regional and development cooperation initiatives.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of financial inclusion and cooperative finance models.
- Excellent leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinking with a results-oriented approach.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural environments.
