Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Planning
• Support the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes across BIEBV and its portfolio of social enterprises.
• Contribute to the development of annual operating and capital budgets, working closely with enterprise teams and BIEBV leadership.
• Assist in feasibility analyses and financial modeling for new initiatives, investments, and/or business expansions.
• Maintain and update financial tools and models to support informed decision-making across the portfolio.
Performance Monitoring & Analysis
• Help prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, including P&L summaries, performance metrics, and variance analyses across BIEBV and its portfolio of social enterprises.
• Work with the social enterprise management teams to develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools tailored to each social enterprise, to enhance visibility on financial performance.
• Coordinate with finance leads from the enterprises to gather accurate forecasts and track actuals against budgets.
• Support monthly reviews of general ledger data to ensure alignment with planned expenditures and identify anomalies.
Financial Decision Support & Process Improvement
• Provide analytical support to improve financial reporting, cost tracking, and performance monitoring.
• Participate in cross-functional projects focused on process efficiency, cost optimization, and data consolidation.
• Contribute to the development of templates, systems, and tools that strengthen financial operations across enterprises.
• Identify areas for improvement in current financial workflows and propose solutions.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
• Implement programme decisions keeping the safety and dignity of programme participants/clients at the center, mitigate safeguarding risks and contribute to a safe working environment where staff are respected and feel confident to voice concerns without fear of retaliation.
• Receive mandatory training on the safeguarding policies and reporting channels and have access to policies.
• Participate in discussions on the safeguarding agenda in monthly meetings and actively voice concerns without fear.
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or any other related
Required Skills, Competencies & Knowledge:
● Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to translate financial data into insights and actions.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, scenario analysis, dashboards, etc.); familiarity with financial software and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio) is a plus.
● Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting principles.
● Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, error-free work.
● Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a lean team environment.
● Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
● Self-starter with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and a willingness to take ownership.
● Collaborative team player with an interest in contributing to impact-focused, mission-driven work.
Experience Requirements:
● 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or financial reporting roles.
● Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in dynamic or growing organizations.
● Previous exposure to social enterprises, development sector organizations, or multi-entity/ multi-country operations is desirable.
