Medicine Counter Assistant

Job Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:
   • Assist customers with inquiries about medications, health products, and services.
   • Provide advice on over-the-counter medications and minor ailments, under the guidance of a pharmacist.
   • Handle prescription collection and ensure customers understand medication usage.
2. Sales and Transactions:
   • Process sales accurately using the point-of-sale system.
   • Promote relevant healthcare products and special offers.
3. Stock Management:
   • Restock shelves, ensuring products are displayed neatly and are within expiry dates.
   • Assist with inventory checks and placing orders for required stock.
4. Compliance and Safety:
   • Ensure compliance with healthcare and pharmacy regulations.
   • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
5. Collaboration with Pharmacists:
   • Work closely with the pharmacist to prepare and dispense prescriptions.
   • Provide administrative support, including filing and managing records.
6. Customer Education:
   • Offer information on health promotion, wellness products, and lifestyle advice.
   • Assist with organizing and distributing health-related promotional materials.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in pharmacy or healthcare are advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling prescriptions and transactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle confidential information professionally.
• Basic knowledge of healthcare products and pharmacy operations (training provided if necessary).
