Job Summary:
We are looking for a Sales Agronomist to drive sales growth by combining agronomy expertise with strong customer engagement. This is a field-based role with frequent travel.
Responsibilities:
* Identify and engage key farmers to expand market reach and increase sales.
* Establish and manage demonstration plots that showcase product performance and build farmer confidence.
* Host field days and farmer trainings to influence purchasing decisions and promote adoption of products.
* Provide tailored agronomic advice to farmers, ensuring successful crop outcomes and repeat sales.
* Develop and distribute crop and variety-specific guidelines suited to local conditions and customer needs.
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with farmers to grow brand loyalty and market share.
Requirements:
* Degree in Agriculture/Agronomy with at least 5 years' experience in horticulture/agronomy.
* Proven ability to combine technical agronomy knowledge with sales acumen.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly.
* Independent, proactive, and professional with excellent communication skills (Shona, English, Ndebele an advantage).
* Computer literate, strong reporting ability, and good personal presentation.
