Job Description

Job Purpose: 

  • Assist the General Manager as directed
  • Hire, train, schedule and manage employees in daily tasks
  • Develop good customer relationships and address customer service needs
  • Source new international and local suppliers and find cost effective ways of creating new supply chains to better maximize food standards and profitability
  • Manage purchasing, inventory, maintenance and other operational functions
  • Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement
  • Liaise between manager, customers and employees
  • Support the venue operationally as needed – working a minimum of 6 days per week.
  • Ensure that company policies set by the managing director is followed at all times
  • Serve as acting General Manager (GM) when GM is away

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversea the dining area, supervises food and beverage service staff in accordance with operating policies
  • Works with food and beverage staff to ensure proper food presentation and proper food-handling procedures
  • Provides feedback and coaching to the Team regularly, including how to exceed Guest expectations
  • Creates a positive team atmosphere, treating them fairly, with respect
  • Schedules periodic food and beverage service staff meetings to ensure correct interpretation of policies and obtain feedback from staff members
  • Maintain budget and employee records, prepare payroll, pay bills and monitor bookkeeping records.
  • Shifts priorities and goals as work demands change
  • Priorities tasks effectively to ensure most important tasks are completed on time, delegating and follow-up effectively
  • Meet with sales representatives to order supplies
  • Ensures product quality and great service
  • Seeks, listens and responds to Guest feedback
  • Handle guest complaints with a friendly/calm attitude
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services
  • Effectively identifies restaurant problems and forecasted, taking ownership to resolve them and also give detail update to the General Manager
  • Total receipts and balance against sales, deposit receipts, and lock facility at end of day
  • Proficiency in using computer software to monitor inventory, track staff schedules and pay, and perform other record keeping tasks
  • Proficiency in Point of sale ( POS ) software, inventory software, restaurant guest satisfactory tracking etc
  • Assist in planning regular and special events, menus
  • Report weekly to Managing Director
