Job Description

 A leading Insurance Company in Ghana is seeking to hire competent and qualified candidates for the following roles. 

ROLE: Head, Product Development 

Job Summary: The overall responsibility for leading product development and maintenance for assigned property & casualty insurance product lines. 


 Build and maintain product structure in policy administration system 

 Lead the selection and implementation of appropriate tools and systems to support product development and management. 

 Manage the timeline and deliverables of new product/campaigns or other product initiatives. 

 Assist in building and maintaining product structure in policy administration system 

 Monitor the product, gather insights on areas of success/failure post launch. 

 Work closely with Technical Team and company leadership to identify and drive product initiatives. 

 Identify, develop and deliver new insurance product features that are uniquely suitable to Coronation customers 

 Act as a lead expert in development of new programs or program improvements 

 Develop training materials and job aids for Sales and Underwriting related to new insurance products or insurance product improvements 

 Provide Sales teams with flyers and other relevant marketing materials. 

 Conduct regular training and quality awareness sessions for all staff including Contact Centre and subsidiaries 

 Handle complaints on products design and liaise with appropriate units to resolve them or proffer necessary clarification within 48 hours 

 Conduct quarterly customer satisfaction surveys with the help of the Customer Experience unit 

 Develop marketing strategies to expand customer base as it relates to the product 

 Regular Sales visit to top profitable users of the service 

 Review product features regularly with a view to modifying or enhancing the product offerings 

 Monitor the performance of the product against budget 


 A good masters’ or first degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting or any related field 

 Recognized professional certification such as CFA, ACCA, ICA, CIT etc. 

 Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in Compliance & Internal Control within the Financial Services Industry. 

 Demonstrable knowledge in Risk Management
