Job Description:
The Cashier will be responsible for accurately handling all customer transactions while maintaining a high standard of customer service. This role requires honesty, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment. The Cashier serves as the first point of contact for customers and plays an important role in creating a positive shopping experience.
The successful candidate will manage cash, mobile money, and electronic payments, ensure correct pricing of items, and issue receipts for every transaction. They will also be responsible for balancing the cash register at the end of each shift and reporting any discrepancies to management. In addition, the Cashier must maintain a clean and organized checkout area and support general shop operations when required.
The role requires good communication skills, basic numeracy skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while following company procedures and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and process cash, MoMo, and POS payments
• Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records
• Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Report discrepancies to management
