Relationship Manager Africa-China Banking

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with African businesses, Chinese enterprises, and financial institutions.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients seeking trade finance, corporate banking, and investment solutions.
• Understand client needs and provide tailored financial products and services.

2. Trade Finance & Investment Facilitation

• Provide advisory services on trade finance, import/export financing, and working capital solutions.
• Support clients in structuring and executing cross-border transactions.
• Promote investment opportunities between Africa and China.

3. Market Development & Business Growth

• Identify business opportunities in Africa-China trade and banking partnerships.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies for market expansion.
• Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes impacting Africa-China banking.

4. Risk & Compliance Management

• Ensure compliance with banking regulations in both African and Chinese markets.
• Conduct due diligence on clients and transactions to mitigate financial risks.
• Work closely with risk management teams to maintain portfolio quality.

5. Product Development & Financial Solutions

• Work with product teams to enhance and customize banking solutions for Africa-China trade.
• Develop financial models to support cross-border lending, treasury, and foreign exchange services.
• Drive innovation in banking products to meet the evolving needs of businesses.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in corporate banking, trade finance, or international banking.
• Strong knowledge of Africa-China trade dynamics and financial regulations.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or French is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
