Key Responsibilities
- to plan, organize and direct all operational activities of the union on daily basis in line with the union's business/strategic plans prepared by the Board of Directors.
- to supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other staff of the Credit Union.
- to prepare monthly financial and statistical reports accurately and timely and submit to Board, CUA and Bank of Ghana for the 10‑d of every ensuing month.
- to serve as a Technical Advisor to the Board on all Financial matters and where mandated, act as Secretary at Board Meetings and conduct letters/correspondence on behalf of the Credit Union.
- to act as the custodian of all funds/money, value books and all keys/locks belonging to the Union and to ensure proper care and use of all assets belonging to the Union.
- to appoint, train and discipline where necessary, other staff of the Union in consultation with the Board of Directors.
- to ensure timely preparation of all Statutory Financial Obligations of the Union (CUA, SSNIT, GRA etc) as they fall due.
- to ensure that the office premises and its surroundings are cleaned always.
- to lead and ensure good organizational behaviour and practices in the union's premises.
- to carry out such other duties that Legally are lawfully assigned by the Board of Directors.
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Professional qualification preferably in accounting.
- Minimum of five years related operational experience in credit union or financial institution.
- Must be computer literate with very good knowledge of Microsoft modules.
- Requires analytical and critical thinking as well as problem solving skills.
- A self‑motivated person able to lead, motivate, coach and mentor staff.
- Must have a customer centric focus.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
