Photographer - National Service Opportunity

Job Summary:

As an NSS Photographer, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality images that reflect the organization’s brand, events, and activities. You will work with the communications and media team to produce compelling visual content for use across digital and print platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture high-resolution photos of events, activities, products, and personnel.
• Edit and retouch photos using professional editing software to meet quality standards.
• Maintain and organize a digital photo archive for easy retrieval and reference.
• Collaborate with the media and communications team to plan shoots that align with content goals.
• Assist in the creation of photo stories, documentaries, and campaign visuals.
• Ensure proper maintenance and care of photography equipment.
• Support the video production team when necessary.
• Stay up to date with current photography trends and tools to improve output.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, Communication, Multimedia, or a related field.
• Proficiency in using DSLR/mirrorless cameras and other professional photography equipment.
• Skilled in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or other photo editing tools.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a range of photography work.
• Understanding of lighting, composition, and editing techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Experience with event photography and photojournalism.
• Basic knowledge of video production and editing.
• Familiarity with content creation for social media platforms.
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools.
