Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple residential and/or commercial properties.
- Ensure facilities, buildings, and common areas are well maintained, safe, and fully functional.
- Supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor electrical, plumbing, fire, and security systems and coordinate repairs or upgrades.
- Plan and supervise renovations, refurbishments, office moves, and property improvement projects.
- Manage inventories of tools, parts, and equipment and place orders as required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and security regulations.
- Coordinate landscaping, cleaning, waste management, and other outsourced property services.
- Market vacant properties and units, conduct inspections, and manage tenant onboarding.
- Prepare, administer, and manage lease agreements, contract renewals, and terminations.
- Manage rent collection, service charges, arrears follow‑ups, and occupancy levels.
- Handle tenant relations, complaints, and satisfaction initiatives.
- Implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
- Manage budgets, track expenses, and conduct property and equipment audits.
- Prepare and submit reports on property performance, leasing status, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate new building projects, facility expansions, and handovers.
- Respond to emergencies and provide after‑hours support when required.
Required Skills or Experience
- Proven leadership experience managing teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good knowledge of property, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong negotiation skills for leases, contracts, and service agreements.
- Ability to advertise vacant properties, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
- Proven problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Minimum of HND or equivalent qualification, a degree in Property or Facilities Management is an advantage.
- Professional certification in property, facilities, or health and safety is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with property management software and systems.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and a service‑oriented mindset.
