Video Editor - National Service Opportunity

Job Summary:

As an NSS Video Editor, you will support the production team by editing and assembling recorded footage into polished, professional videos for marketing, communication, training, and social media purposes. You will work closely with videographers, graphic designers, and content creators to bring visual stories to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit raw video footage into high-quality, engaging final videos for various platforms (social media, YouTube, website, presentations).
• Add graphics, subtitles, animations, transitions, sound effects, and background music as needed.
• Ensure consistency in branding, tone, and message across all video content.
• Collaborate with the media team during the pre- and post-production phases to meet project objectives.
• Organize and archive video assets for future use.
• Stay updated with video trends, styles, and platform-specific best practices (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
• Support livestream setups or video shoots when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Film Editing, Multimedia, Communication, or a related field.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of storytelling, pacing, and audio/visual synchronization.
• Familiarity with different video formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Strong attention to detail and creativity.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Experience with motion graphics and animation (Adobe After Effects, Blender, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of camera equipment and video production.
• Graphic design skills (e.g., Photoshop, Canva).
• Experience creating short-form videos for social media platforms.
