What You'll Do:
Develop a detailed understanding of Tripadvisor’s business and brand portfolio, as well as its industry landscape, drivers, and peers.
Efficiently qualify and build highly compelling business cases and rationale for strategic inorganic growth opportunities
Manage M&A transaction process(es) end-to-end, including internal and external due diligence execution and management, internal process management and communications
Support strategic development opportunities across Tripadvisor’s business and brand portfolio, including investor relations, corporate strategy, and other strategic ad-hoc projects
Skill & Experience:
BS/BA required, preferred focus areas in Business, Economics, and/or Finance/Accounting
2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development/M&A. Industry experience preferably in technology, ideally in internet, digital media, and/or software.
The desired candidate will possess experience performing a) M&A transaction assessment and process execution/management, b) industry and company analysis, c) valuation analysis, and d) detailed ‘bottoms-up’ financial modeling. Additionally, the ability to comfortably engage with senior level executives both internal and external to the organization will be a key success factor.
Highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint, strong experience building M&A business cases supported by detailed financial/valuation models
Embody a high degree of integrity and trustworthiness, as well as corporate responsibility and commitment
Proven experience of progressing multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and working effectively across teams
Strong writing and communication skills – ability to communicate concisely and effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders across verbal, written and illustrative/graphical means
Organized, entrepreneurial self-starter; able to identify what needs to get done, prioritize accordingly, communicate status/progress, and maintain/achieve project timelines/milestones
Ability to build trust and rapport with internal team members inside the finance organization as well as with operational business teams
Demonstrated ability to work independently, coordinate the contributions of other stakeholders, as well as work effectively with stakeholders at a wide range of levels
Experienced in creating presentations for 'C-level' executives and Board of Directors
