Senior Mechanical Technician

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Snr Mechanical Technician that will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and utility systems in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role ensures that critical systems—such as HVAC, purified water, clean steam, compressed air, and process equipment—operate reliably and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures using schematics, P&IDs, and diagnostic tools; execute repairs to restore equipment to operational status.
• Respond to equipment alarms and maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain strict compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols.
• Participate in regulatory inspections and internal audits as a subject matter expert for maintained systems.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend reliability improvements.
• Assist engineering manager in the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Perform field verifications, component inspections, and functional testing to ensure systems meet design specifications.
• Support energy savings initiatives and maintenance program optimization.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians and apprentices.
• Perform any other mechanical duties as and when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• HND/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant field of study required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly desirable.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Proven experience in a cGMP environment with strong understanding of documentation and change control requirements.
• Excellent leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.
