Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef specializing in Chinese cuisine to lead the preparation of authentic and innovative Chinese dishes. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of regional Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles. This role involves menu development, kitchen leadership, and ensuring high standards of taste, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.

 Key Responsibilities:

1. Food Preparation: Cook a wide variety of Chinese dishes including stir-fries, dim sum, noodles, soups, and regional specialties.

2. Menu Development: Design and update menus that reflect traditional and modern Chinese culinary trends.

3. Kitchen Management: Supervise kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth kitchen operations.

4. Quality Control: Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation across all dishes.

5. Inventory & Ordering: Monitor stock levels, order ingredients, and ensure freshness and authenticity of supplies.

6. Hygiene & Safety: Enforce food safety standards and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.

7. Training & Mentorship: Train junior chefs and kitchen assistants in Chinese cooking techniques and kitchen protocols.

8. Customer Engagement: Occasionally interact with guests to explain dishes or receive feedback.

Qualifications:
1.  At least 2 years experience as a Chinese cuisine chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant.
2. Specialized knowledge in various regional
3. Chinese cooking techniques and dishes.
4.  Formal culinary training or certification is preferred.
5.  Strong leadership and communication skills.
6.  Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Attributes:

1. Creativity in adapting traditional recipes to modern tastes

2. Experience in high-volume restaurants or hotels

3. Multilingual abilities (Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus)

4. Familiarity with dietary restrictions and customization
