CIC & OT Technician

Job Summary:
The CIC (Central Instrumentation Control) & OT (Ore Transport) Technician maintains and optimizes the automated control systems, networks, and instrumentation that govern the ore transport system (conveyors, feeders, crushers) and central control room operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control Systems: Maintain PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMI interfaces related to the Ore Transport system.
• Instrumentation: Calibrate and repair field instruments (belt scales, level sensors, speed sensors, pull-cords).
• Networking: Maintain industrial communication networks (Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus) linking underground equipment to surface control.
• OT Optimization: Ensure the Ore Transport logic is optimized for maximum throughput and minimal energy usage.
• Fault Finding: Rapidly diagnose and rectify control loop failures that stop ore flow.

Qualifications & Experience:

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current) or Instrumentation.
• Trade Test (Instrumentation Mechanician) is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with PLC/SCADA systems in a mining environment.
• Strong IT/Networking skills and ability to program/tweak logic (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Schneider).
