Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture and design:
- Assist in implementing designs architectures provided by the cloud architect.
- Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and best practices for cloud deployments.
- Collaborate with software engineers and DevOps teams to ensure cloud solutions are optimized for efficiency and reliability.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies to automate the provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of cloud resources.
Cloud Security and Compliance:
- Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM, ZeroTrust, etc.. ), data encryption, and network security.
- Ensure cloud environments implemented comply with industry regulations, such as PCI DSS, GDPR, and other relevant standards based on
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Assist in setting up and managing monitoring tools to track system performance, security, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
- Implement disaster recovery plans and strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Test and validate disaster recovery procedures to ensure readiness in case of an emergency.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Document cloud architecture, with relevant implementation details (IP addresses, domains / subdomain mapped, network/host configurations and firewall whitelisting, etc...)

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Engineer, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect) is a plus.
- Minimum of +5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on designing and managing cloud infrastructure.
- Proven experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience in the fintech industry or working with financial services is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, and security.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
