Develop and implement a comprehensive editorial and digital content strategy, including a structured editorial calendar, to support the company’s brand, and business and CSR / sustainability objectives.
Write, edit, and publish high-quality, English-language content across the website, social media, newsletters, internal platforms, and executive communications.
Travel regularly to project and operational sites (including to remote areas), to gather stories, conduct interviews, capture content, and report on engineering milestones, renewable energy initiatives, and CSR / sustainability programs in agriculture, water, and education.
Produce short-form visual content in-house such as videos, infographics, reels, and graphics using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, Illustrator, or similar.
Collaborate with external creative vendors when needed for large-scale video, design, or media production.
Manage and grow the company’s presence across LinkedIn, and other channels, adapting content for digital engagement and tracking performance.
Coordinate closely with the Communications Team in Francophone Africa to ensure content is aligned across languages and regions with a consistent narrative and unified voice.
Draft press releases, speeches, talking points, and media outreach related to major company announcements, projects, and milestones.
Work across departments (e.g., Engineering, Sustainability, HR, and Finance) to identify and amplify high-impact stories.
Ensure all content reflects the company’s brand tone, messaging standards, and strategic priorities.
BUDGETING
Lead the preparation of the monthly budget.
Develop and manage all budget items, including cost control and expenditure forecasting.
Ensure the budget is in line with the department’s scheduled activities.
ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Supervise the team to execute assigned projects within deadlines and budget.
Carry out performance appraisals and development plans with subordinate staff.
Coordinate the leave schedule of subordinate staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or Business Administration is mandatory.
Master's degree is mandatory.
Multicultural experience is mandatory.
Proficiency in French is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 10+ years of experience in editorial content development, digital communications, or media, preferably in energy, infrastructure, sustainability, or development sectors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Proven ability to write and edit clear, compelling content for diverse audiences.
Proficiency in short-form video editing and graphic design is required.
Experience developing content from the field, whether for digital, internal, or media use, is highly valued.
Strong grasp of social media strategy and digital content best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and project management skills with the ability to balance multiple deadlines.
Must be willing and able to travel regularly to the company’s remote sites across Ghana and West Africa.
