ENGINEER - SOFTWARE TEST & RELEASE

We are looking for an enthusiastic Entry‑Level Test Engineer to support manual and automation testing efforts for web and API‑based applications. This role suits candidates with a strong foundation in software testing concepts and hands‑on exposure to Karate and Playwright, who are eager to build a career in Quality Assurance within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Understand business and functional requirements and contribute to test planning activities.

Perform manual testing including functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.

Design, execute, and maintain test cases and document test results.

Assist in developing and executing automation test scripts using Karate (API testing) and Playwright (UI testing).

Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.

Log, track, and retest defects using defect tracking tools.

Work closely with developers, business analysts, and senior QA members to ensure quality deliverables.

Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.

Continuously improve testing skills and adapt to new QA tools and best practices.

Required Skills

Basic understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing fundamentals.

Hands‑on experience or project exposure to manual testing.

Basic knowledge of API automation using Karate.

Introductory experience with Playwright or similar UI automation tools.

Understanding of test case design and defect lifecycle.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Java or JavaScript).

Exposure to Git or other version control systems.

Awareness of CI/CD concepts and automation pipelines.
