Role Overview
The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the Hotel guest experience, team management, operations, standards compliance, and commercial outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be expected to set the tone, model the culture, and drive results across all three units.
Key Responsibilities
*Own the end-to-end guest experience across all units, ensuring every touchpoint reflects our service philosophy
*Recruit, train, manage, and develop all hotel staff — front desk, housekeeping, security, and support
Maintain and enforce the highest standards of hygiene, presentation, and property upkeep
*Implement and oversee SOPs to ensure consistent, predictable service delivery across all units
*Manage room inventory, occupancy, and rates in coordination with the founders
*Handle guest feedback and complaints with speed, empathy, and professionalism
*Oversee procurement, vendor management, and operational expenditure within approved budgets
*Prepare and submit weekly operational and performance reports to leadership
*Identify and flag maintenance issues, staffing gaps, and service failures proactively
*Support the growth of the Hotel corporate sales and repeat-guest relationships
Requirements
Minimum 4–6 years of hospitality management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Experience in boutique, lifestyle, or independently operated hotels strongly preferred
A genuine passion for guest experience — not just compliance with standards
Strong people management and team-building skills
High standards of personal presentation and communication
Familiarity with hotel management systems and basic reporting
Abuja-based or willing to relocate
High emotional intelligence and the ability to lead with both warmth and firmness
