Job Overview
We are seeking a responsible Hostel Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our hostel facility. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and able to manage both staff and operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of the hostel.
- Liaise with the caretaker to ensure proper allocation of funds to line staff.
- Ensure proper maintenance of the facility and arrange repairs as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain hygiene, health, and safety standards, carrying out risk assessments where necessary.
- Supervise the caretaker, cleaners, and other staff to ensure operational standards are maintained.
- Ensure adequate security for the hostel and its residents.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to remain diplomatic, calm under pressure, and think quickly in crisis situations.
- Proven ability to resolve issues efficiently and work under pressure.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
