INVENTORY OFFICER

JOB SUMMARY:

An Inventory Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of stock levels, ensuring efficient inventory control, and supporting procurement and warehouse operations. This role is critical to minimizing stock discrepancies, optimizing inventory turnover, and ensuring the availability of goods and materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, track stock movements, and conduct regular stock counts.
• Receiving & Inspection: Receive incoming goods, verify quantities and quality against purchase orders, and record discrepancies.
• Stock Recording: Update inventory databases and systems to reflect stock transactions, adjustments, and movements.
• Reporting: Generate inventory reports including stock levels, aging analysis, and turnover ratios to support decision-making.
• Forecasting: Analyze demand patterns and historical data to forecast inventory requirements and set reorder points.
• Compliance: Ensure inventory practices comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordination: Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure timely replenishment and stock optimization.
• Auditing: Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconcile physical stock with system records, investigating and resolving variances.

QUALIFICATION:
Applicant must possess a minimum of an HND(Marketing) or a related course

REQUIREMENT:
Manage and monitor the organization's inventory levels by:

•tracking stocks, item descriptions, and storage locations Keep track of quantity, quality, stock level, delivery time, with respect to efficiency

* The role requires someone who is organized and detail-oriented

* Able to work well as part of a team

* Proficiency with Microsoft tools.

* Previous experience in a similar role will be an added advantage
