LEGAL COUNSEL

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with building capacity of senior managers in identifying legal risks and issues associated with their duties.
- Analyze legal issues relating to proposed products and services.
- Draft and manage all contracts, legal reports and documents on behalf of the business.
- Develop and provide necessary methods that protect the business from all legal risks.
- Manage and develop client relationships and manage external legal providers to ensure value for money.

Qualifications
- A good degree in Law (LLB) from an accredited university.
- Qualified Lawyer (BL) in good standing with the Ghana Bar Association.
- Master degree in Law is a plus.
- 8+ years post qualification experience as a lawyer.
- Strong commercial law background especially in the negotiation and documentation of commercial contracts.
- A track record of effective liaison with external lawyers.
- Strong, analytical, drafting and negotiating skills.
- Open and outward looking attitude.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work confidently and stand ground with more senior managers.
- Strong commercial and pragmatic approach.
- Ability to impact and influence upwards.
