PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Manager of e-commerce is a critical thinker with a bias for action. You will be an integral part of the Business team leading on eTranzact’s App Xcel’s e-commerce experience in order to become a key destination in the moments that matter to customers. In this role, you will lead and refine the sales strategy and plans that drive revenue growth and market share expansion on the e-commerce platform. This role requires a deep understanding of the e-commerce market, consumer behavior, and sales analytics to forecast trends, set sales targets, and identify opportunities for sales optimization and growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will make an impact in this role by:
· Increasing the number of Users on the Xcel App and positioning it as a Super App with multidimensional features.
· Working with Products, Projects, and Marketing teams to create an exemplary App experience for the biggest savings and seasonal moments during the year by centralizing product and reporting roadmaps and prioritizing for merchant onboarding and activation. You'll do this by leading key KPIs, audit mechanisms, business reviews, and building new efficient processes and playbooks.
Telling a story through our App – You will identify key trend forecasts and define the team's story-telling roadmap to enhance the customer journey on our site, telling a cohesive story to win customers' hearts and minds.
Monitoring App health and performance through analytics and key metrics-You'll oversee the development of App metrics and dashboards to monitor health and provide strategic insights to internal stakeholders to influence the overall direction for the App.
Solving customer problems - You will represent the business with cross-functional partners for new product features and testing requests. Including a streamlined intake process with clear goals and customer problem statement development, while moving requests through product and testing pipelines.
Training and documenting processes for new features - You will establish clear documentation and training for new product features and processes, to ensure successful launches and handoffs that help automate manual processes, save time, and drive efficiency.
Being a thought leader - You will partner with DevOps, Products, and Project teams to understand and document new tooling or feature improvement needs for the Marketing team to drive automation, scalability, and reduction of manual work hours.
Operating with excellence-You'll land the fundamentals and create and help scale best-in-class efficient workflows, develop and own campaign playbooks, processes, documentation, and timelines; embedding operational excellence into everything you do and developing business executives on the team to increase capabilities and enhance skills, knowledge and performance.
· You will understand how customers shop online and use strategic thinking and innovation to create a seamless and fresh App experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales:
· B2C Sales :Lead on merchant partnership, activation and downloads of Xcel App to increase numbers of active users and market penetration/expansion.
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's goals and market opportunities. This includes market analysis, target customer segments, pricing strategies, and sales channels optimization.
Sales Forecasting: Use historical data, market trends, and sales analytics to accurately forecast sales performance. Regularly update sales forecasts based on changing market conditions and actual sales performance.
Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to the sales and marketing teams to optimize performance.
Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with the marketing, product development, customer service, and finance teams to ensure alignment between sales plans and other business activities. Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams to achieve sales targets.
Sales Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the sales process and work with the relevant teams to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Budget Management: Oversee the sales budget, ensuring that sales initiatives are cost-effective and deliver a strong return on investment. Monitor spending and adjust plans as necessary to stay within budget.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of sales planners and analysts. Foster a collaborative, performance-oriented environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and planning initiatives to senior management. Use data to support strategic decisions and adjustments to sales plans.
Marketing:
· Lead marketing of Xcel App to increase numbers of active users and market penetration/expansion
· Lead the Comms and Digital Marketing team on promoting win-back programs to desirable lost customers based on calculated customer lifetime value (CLTV)
· Lead on promotional strategy playbook with plays (e.g., discounts, vouchers, product level promotions, order level promotions, ) that will drive customer traffic, conversions (transactional and non-transactional), baskets, and product category horizontal penetration
· Maintain calendar of key launch/event dates related to marketing and sales for the product lines in collaboration with the product teams, PR, advertising, customer care and other channels
· Continually optimizes processes and procedures using A/B testing and user feedback to make step changes to our App experience
· Collaborates with all other departments to ensure a consistent omni-channel experience (tie - ins to eTz B2B)
