Medical Laboratory Scientist

Reports To: Head of Laboratory Services

Job Summary:
Jubail Specialist Hospital in Sakumono is seeking skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientists to join ol team. The successful candidate will perform essential laboratory tests, analyze samples, and provide accurate result: that contribute to patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sample Collection and Analysis:
* Collect, prepare, and analyze biological samples following strict laboratory protocols.
* Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
* Ensure timely processing and analysis of samples to support patient care.

2. Quality Control and Assurance:
* Maintain strict quality control procedures and ensure accuracy in test results.
* Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with regulatory standards.
* Participate in quality assurance programs to continually improve laboratory practices.

3. Documentation and Reporting:
* Record, interpret, and communicate laboratory results to the relevant medical teams.
* Maintain accurate records, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
* Prepare detailed reports on laboratory activities and test outcomes.

4. Compliance and Safety:
* Follow safety guidelines and infection control protocols within the laboratory environment.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements as stipulated by the Allied Health Professional Council.
* Stay updated on laboratory best practices and relevant healthcare regulations.

5. Additional Duties:
* Collaborate with medical staff to provide insights and recommendations based on test results.
* Assist with inventory management, ensuring availability of necessary supplies.
* Perform any other duties assigned by the Laboratory Manager to support laboratory operations.

6. Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
* Must be registered with the Allied Health Professional Council and possess an active PIN.

7. Other Requirements:
* Preferably resides in or around the Sakumono area to ensure timely access to the facility.
