Rights and Advocacy Initiatives Network (RAIN) is a not-for profit organization with a mission to employ people-centred innovative approaches to address the challenges within the Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environmental sectors in Ghana.
Position summary:
The Project Officer shall drive stakeholder engagement processes geared towards capacity developmentand advocacy for Deforestation-free cocoa production in Ghana.
Location: Kumasi, with extensive travel to communities in the cocoa-forest landscapes and other location as may be required.

Key responsibilities
* Undertake field activities in respect of project implementation, as directed
* Assist with analysis of field data as directed
* Prepare and submit activity report on every field visit and or meeting attended
* Submit inputs into the quarterly, mid-year and annual project reports as required
* Provide inputs into Project Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (PMEL)
* Assist in the organization of project meetings and stakeholder engagements
* Represent the organizations at meetings as directed
Requirements
* Masters degree in Natural Resource Management, Development Studies, Agriculture or related disciplines with at least one-year work experience or bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of work experience
* Ability to support the design and development of appropriate data collection, management and analysis tools
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills
*Familiarity with Ghana's cocoa-forest landscape
*Excellent report writing skills
*Proficiency in the common language of the cocoa-forestlandscapes (Twi)
*Demonstrable willingness to travel to remote areas.
* Experience with project management is an added advantage
