Risk and Compliance Officer

Job Description
TPG Consultancy Limited is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Risk and Compliance Officer to support the company’s risk management and regulatory compliance activities. The successful candidate will identify and assess potential risks, monitor compliance with applicable regulations, review internal controls, and help ensure that business operations meet required legal and regulatory standards.
The role requires a strong understanding of financial services regulations, anti-money laundering procedures, customer due diligence, and compliance reporting, particularly within Ghanaian and UK regulatory environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and monitor financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Ghanaian and UK financial services regulations.
•  Monitor adherence to anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CFT), and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
•  Review internal controls and recommend improvements to reduce risk exposure.
• Support regulatory reporting, compliance reviews, and internal investigations.
•  Monitor credit risk and identify potential compliance breaches.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare reports for management.
•  Provide guidance to relevant teams on risk management and regulatory requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in financial services or a related industry.
• Knowledge of Ghanaian and UK regulations, AML/CFT, KYC, credit risk, regulatory reporting, and internal controls.
•  Professional qualifications such as a master’s degree, ICA, CAMS, or CRMA will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
•  High integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
• Experience in cross-border compliance will be an advantage.
