Essential Duties

The role will have responsibility to:

  • Deliver technical assistance for team members on risk controls.
  • Execute security technical systems and assist IT in identifying technical requirements.
  • Monitor security control centre team members, implement control centre procedures and related technology.
  • Provide guidance on matters related to security technology including access control system, intrusion detection and video surveillance.
  • Prepare and execute compliance protocols associated with journey management technology, personnel tracking, and business traveller monitoring.
  • Actively contributes to establishing and maintaining a positive and productive team working environment that includes listening, dealing with different points of views, and giving and receiving feedback.
  • Able to be an effective team member by listening, clarifying tasks, receiving and providing feedback.
  • Utilizes practical judgment to address challenges and proactively seeks assistance when necessary.

Training & Experience

Ideally, our preferred applicant will have;

  • Relevant security and technical certification.
  • Minimum of Grade 12 Education.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in the security industry (Police or Defence Force service desirable)
  • PNG Driver's License - Class 6.
  • Understands industry standards and regulations (ANSI, ISO, local compliance).
  • Knows fundamental physical security concepts (risk assessment, threat analysis, vulnerability assessments).
  • Familiar with integrating security systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion detection) within a comprehensive framework.
  • Aware of best practices and emerging trends in security technology (video surveillance, biometrics, access control).
  • Understands legal and ethical considerations in electronic security (privacy laws, data protection).
  • Knowledgeable about standardized control room processes and technical requirements for operational consistency.
  • Recognizes the importance of segregation of duties to prevent unauthorized access or asset modification.
  • Good verbal, written communication, and public speaking skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously from time to time.
  • High attention to detail with good time management skills.
  • Strong active listening & interpersonal skills.
