Required Qualifications & Education
- Degree: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Eng./B.Tech.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
- NYSC:* Evidence of completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mandatory service year is essential.
- *Professional Registrations (Highly Desirable): Graduate or corporate membership with the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
- Progress toward or possession of a registration license with the **Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)*.
Skills & Competencies
- Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to interpret complex 2D/3D structural layouts, architectural designs, and Bills of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation (BEME).
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Orion/CSC structural software, or Microsoft Project for tracking schedules.
- On-Site Problem Solving: Ability to make quick, technically sound decisions when design clashes occur on-site or unforeseen ground conditions arise.
- Communication & Negotiation: Fluency in English is required; the ability to communicate concepts effectively across different demographics—from corporate investors to local artisans—is highly valued.
Expected Experience Levels
Mid-Level: 4–7 years of proven tracking record supervising large residential, commercial, or infrastructural civil works.
