KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks.
- Implement and manage routing and switching technologies (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, VLANs, EtherChannel).
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolution.
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, and network security appliances.
- Perform network capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and infrastructure teams on cross functional projects.
- Support network upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, best practices, and industry standards.
- Provide on call support for critical network incidents when required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Cisco ASA, Firepower, Fortigate, or Palo Alto firewalls.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper V).
- Understanding of VoIP, QoS, and unified communications.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Scripting or automation skills (Python, Ansible) are an advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Active Cisco CCNP certification (Enterprise, Security, or Data Center preferred).
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in network engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, and firewalls.
- Hands on experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
- Solid understanding of network security principles and technologies.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.).
- Proficiency with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL, DMVPN).
- Familiarity with SD WAN, network automation, and cloud networking is a plus.
