About the Role:
ACO Nigeria is seeking a skilled and results-driven Solar Project Engineer to oversee the technical execution of solar PV projects from conception to commissioning and handover.
The role focuses on delivering high-quality commercial and industrial (C&I) solar EPC projects by coordinating design, procurement, installation, and performance optimization while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in solar PV systems and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and site-based teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and engineer solar PV systems, including component selection and system optimization.
• Conduct site assessments and analyze energy consumption to determine system requirements.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate procurement activities and manage vendor relationships for solar equipment supply.
• Supervise installation activities and provide technical oversight during construction.
• Conduct testing and commissioning to ensure system performance and compliance.
• Monitor project timelines, costs, risks, and quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Provide technical support, resolve on-site challenges, and submit project progress reports.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ relevant experience in solar PV project execution (EPC experience preferred).
• Proven experience working on commercial & industrial (C&I) solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of PV system design, installation, commissioning, and performance analysis.
• Ability to manage technical documentation and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
