Website Designer / Web Master

Duties:
The Website Designer/Web Master will be responsible for designing and developing Kumasi Technical University's websites, directories and applications.
* Build functional and easy-to-use websites
* Creating and maintaining internal software systems
* Developing web pages, graphics, and integrated multimedia
* Test websites across browsers, operating systems and devices
* Maintain, configure and troubleshoot websites and servers
* Ensure site security by setting up firewalls and login pages
* Optimize loading speeds and capacity of websites
* Debug pages and fix broken links or images
* Update website content and review SEO
* Monitor and analyse site performance (c.g traffic, conversions, analytics)
*Creating and maintain backups of all websites

Qualifications:
*A Minimum of Bachelor's degree, preferably Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
* Strong working expertise and experience in HTML5 / CSS3, XML, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, C#, Adobe Creative Suite, Drupal CMS.
* Minimum 2 years of front-end website development and hosting experience
* Solid understanding of navigation and GUI for maximizing usability
* Proficient in webmaster and SEO tools such as tag manager or google analytics
* Knowledge in metadata, robots.txt, and speed optimization
* Excellent communication skills
* Creative, innovative, and maintains a positive work attitude
* Knowledge of different platforms/servers and configurations, windows, Linux, and O/S in general
