The Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO) is seeking a visionary and dedicated Zero Waste Manager to lead and implement innovative waste reduction and sustainability initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing strategies that promote circular economy practices and environmental stewardship within communities.
Job Description:
As the Zero Waste Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring zero-waste programs, fostering partnerships, and ensuring that GAYO’s sustainability goals are met effectively. You will collaborate with internal teams, community groups, and environmental organizations to drive measurable impact across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee zero-waste strategies and programs
- Coordinate sustainability campaigns and community outreach activities
- Develop policies to minimize waste and promote circular economy practices
- Monitor, evaluate, and report project outcomes
- Build partnerships with stakeholders and local authorities
- Lead, train, and motivate project teams toward achieving sustainability goals
