Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, and maintaining electrical control systems and components for industrial machines. The role involves ensuring all electrical designs comply with industry standards, optimizing machine performance, and supporting manufacturing operations with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Development

• Design and develop electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics for industrial machinery.
• Select appropriate electrical components (motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, control panels) to meet design requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes and safety regulations.

2. Installation & Commissioning

• Supervise installation of electrical systems in newly manufactured machines.
• Perform testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality before delivery to clients.
• Integrate automation systems, control panels, and instrumentation as required.

3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in machinery during production and after client delivery.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Work closely with mechanical engineers and technicians to resolve cross-disciplinary issues.

4. Quality & Compliance

• Conduct quality checks to ensure electrical systems meet design specifications.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and project records.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, IEC, and other applicable industry standards.

5. Collaboration & Support

• Liaise with design, mechanical, and production teams during machine development.
• Provide technical support to the production floor and customer service teams.
• Train technicians and operators on the proper handling of electrical systems.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in industrial machine manufacturing or heavy equipment industry.
• Strong background in industrial control systems, automation, and instrumentation.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) and HMI development.
• Familiarity with motor control systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and servo systems.
• Competence in CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) for wiring and circuit design.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards (NEC, IEC).
