Description 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Reconciliation and Settlement Officer to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reconciling financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data between internal records and those of our financial partners, and supporting the settlement of transactions in a timely and compliant manner.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly financial transactions with financial institutions, payment processors, and business partners.
  • Monitor and investigate discrepancies in financial transactions, ensuring timely resolution and accurate record-keeping.
  • Prepare and submit reconciliation reports for internal use and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Resolve missing, incomplete, or failed transactions by liaising with relevant internal and external parties.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with banks, fintech partners, and payment service providers to support accurate settlements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial policies, industry regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Operations, IT, and Customer Support, to resolve financial disputes and prevent delays in settlements.
  • Respond promptly to financial irregularities such as fraud alerts, duplicate transactions, and system errors.
  • Support automation initiatives by recommending improvements to reconciliation and settlement workflows and tools.
  • Perform additional finance-related tasks and projects as assigned by management.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in reconciliation, settlements, or financial operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent Excel skills; familiarity with reconciliation tools and financial systems is a plus.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and electronic payment systems is an added advantage.
