Position Summary:
An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role plays a key part in maintaining the financial health of an organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine financial records, statements, and reports
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger entries
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments
- Support internal and external audits
- Maintain and update accounting systems and databases
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is a plus
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero)
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis tools
