Acquiring & Payment Manager.

Reports Direct to: Head, Digital Inclusive Banking (DIB) Department
Location: Accra

Job purpose

• To lead the bank’s acquiring and payments business by driving merchant acquisition, transaction growth, and revenue, while advancing the bank’s digital payment agenda and promoting cashless transactions.

Key responsibilities:

• • Supervise and guide the Acquiring team’s daily operations to meet unit objectives and performance targets.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyze product usage data, and prepare periodic performance reports for management.
  • Coach team members to build expertise in digital banking and relationship management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to market digital banking products and recruit merchants in line with due diligence procedures.
  • Conduct competitor research and engage merchants to ensure optimal use and continuous improvement of digital solutions.

Qualifications (Key technical skills/knowledge required for position)

• A minimum of 1st Degree in Social Sciences, Humanities or related field.
• At least 5years of experience in Customer and Merchant Relationship Management.
• Knowledge of the Bank’s POS, Electronic card products, mobile technology, Electronic Banking platforms and IT.
• Experience in POS deployment and management issues.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Good command over report writing.
• Excellent computer knowledge with command on MS Excel among other packages of MS Office.
• Ability to be innovative and creative.
• Ability to work under time and people pressure
