KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments using the hospital's scheduling system.
  • Provide accurate information regarding hospital services, clinic locations, physicians, operating hours, and general policies.
  • Route calls to the appropriate departments, physicians, or staff members.
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Document patient interactions and call details accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) or call management system.
  • Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and requests with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies.
  • Meet established performance metrics, including call quality, response time, attendance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives.


REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service or call center experience; healthcare experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (candidate should be fluent in at least one local language).
  • Strong interpersonal and active listening skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based scheduling systems.
  • Ability to type accurately while speaking with callers.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
