CHINESE TRANSLATOR

 Job Description:
The Chinese Translator is responsible for facilitating effective communication between the company’s local team and Chinese-speaking partners and clients through accurate written and verbal translation. The role ensures smooth business operations, clear communication, and strong cross-cultural collaboration.

  Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Translate business documents including contracts, agreements, reports, emails, manuals, and internal communications between Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, conference calls, negotiations, and video conferences.
• Ensure translated content is accurate, clear, and contextually appropriate.
• Proofread and review translated materials before submission or distribution.
• Maintain consistency in terminology across all translated documents.
• Facilitate communication between Ghanaian staff and Chinese-speaking partners.
• Assist in drafting and editing bilingual correspondence, reports, and presentations.
• Support cross-cultural communication and ensure proper understanding between both parties.
• Serve as a communication link for Chinese partner interactions and inquiries.
• Maintain organized records of all translated and interpreted materials.
• Ensure proper documentation and version control of bilingual files.
• Handle all sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
• Comply with company data protection and communication protocols.
  
  

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Chinese Language, Translation Studies, Linguistics, International Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in translation and/or interpretation in a professional setting.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) and English.
• HSK Level 5 or above is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in translation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
