ROLE PURPOSE
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) serves as the enterprise execution leader
and strategic second in command to the CEO, responsible for translating CIMG’s
vision into measurable impact.
The DCEO will lead strategy execution, institutional transformation, revenue
growth, and digital innovation, ensuring that CIMG delivers on its mandate as a
world-class professional body and the leading authority in marketing across
Ghana and Africa.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The DCEO will have direct oversight and accountability for the execution of CIMG’s
strategic pillars:
1.Strategy Execution & Transformation
• Lead the execution of CIMG’s 3-year strategic plan across all functions
• Establish and manage a Strategy Execution & Transformation Office
• Translate strategic initiatives into operational roadmaps, KPIs, and
performance dashboards
• Drive organisational restructuring, process optimisation, and institutional
strengthening
• Report progress to CEO, NEC and Governing Council
2. Membership Growth & Community Engagement
• Develop and execute a data-driven membership growth strategy
• Lead segmentation, acquisition, retention, and engagement initiatives
• Oversee regional expansion and ambassador programmes
• Strengthen member value proposition through tailored offerings
• Drive member participation in governance, events, and programmes
3. Education, Certification & Student Mentorship
• Lead the establishment and scaling of Student mentorship
• Oversee development of:
o Learning Management System (LMS)
o Professional certification programs
o Executive education and industry training
• Build partnerships with universities, regulators, and professional bodies
• Ensure alignment of academic programmes with CIMG standards per GTEC
regulation
4. Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
• Design and execute a diversified revenue strategy, including:
o Membership revenue
o Training & certifications
o Sponsorships and partnerships
o Research and consultancy
• Identify new income streams and monetisation opportunities
• Lead fundraising and strategic partnerships especially for the CIMG building
project
Research, Thought Leadership & Industry Influence
• Position CIMG as a leading knowledge authority in marketing
• Oversee development of:
o Ghana Regional Brand Index every 2 years
o Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) for Industry introducing new one on a
yearly basis.
o Publications and journals
• Drive thought leadership through media, policy engagement, and industry
platforms
6. Advocacy, Partnerships & Global Positioning
• Lead stakeholder engagement across:
o Government and regulators
o Private sector and industry bodies
o Academia and international institutions
• Drive Pan-African and global partnerships
• Position CIMG as a voice in national and regional policy discussions
7.Digital Transformation & Innovation
• Lead the development of a digital-first CIMG ecosystem, including:
o LMS and digital learning platforms
o Member portals and CRM systems
o Data and analytics infrastructure
• Embed data-driven decision-making across the Institute
• Explore emerging technologies (AI, automation) to enhance service delivery and
ensure that at the end of the 3-year period CIMG exams will be online based.
8. Operations, Governance & Institutional Excellence
• Oversee the efficient functioning of the Secretariat
• Ensure compliance with governance structures and regulatory requirements
• Implement performance management systems across units
• Strengthen organisational culture, talent development, and accountability
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
• Act as second-in-command and executive decision-maker in the CEO’s
absence
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver strategic outcomes
• Build a high-performance, innovation-driven culture
• Serve as a visible industry leader and ambassador for CIMG

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Professional Marketing Qualification (e.g., ProM, DipM and CIMG Chartered
Marketer) preferred and a fully paid-up member of CIMG
• Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Strategy, or related field
• Minimum 10–15 years’ experience, with at least 5 years at Executive level
• Proven experience in:
o Strategy execution
o Organisational transformation
o Revenue generation and partnerships
o Leading multi-functional teams
