Focus: Diaspora engagement, culture, creative enterprise, cultural exchange and diplomacy.
Main responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategies for engaging the Ghanaian diaspora.
• Lead community engagement and identify diaspora needs.
• Design and manage diaspora-focused programs, events and cultural initiatives.
• Build partnerships with organizations, businesses, government agencies, diplomatic missions and other stakeholders.
• Identify funding and revenue opportunities.
• Manage program budgets, schedules, vendors and logistics.
• Develop communication strategies, newsletters and other media content.
• Track program results and prepare reports for management and the board.
• Represent Ahaspora at conferences, workshops and external engagements.
• Support the wider Ahaspora and Breathing Art Studio (BAS) teams with program implementation.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in diaspora relations or related activities.
• Experience engaging different stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and lead a small team.
• Experience developing and managing budgets.
• Knowledge or experience with diaspora engagement is preferred.
Working hours: 40 hours/week, with some evenings/weekends when programs are scheduled.
Work arrangement: Office 3–4 days per week, with the remaining days remote.
