OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organised and sales-driven Operations Coordinator to support the daily operations of our retail and beauty salon businesses. We are seeking a proactive and results driven Operations Coordinator with a strong focus on supervisory responsibilities, driving sales growth, and executing marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will combine strong organisational skills with leadership abilities to oversee daily shop or team activities, while actively contributing to sales targets, customer engagement, and brand promotion.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational & Supervisory Duties

• Supervise daily shop/salon/back-office activities and ensure smooth operational flow.
  
  
• Supervise retail and salon staff, ensuring high standards of professionalism and customer care.
  
  
• Lead by example on the shop/salon floor, assisting with sales, customer consultations, and service coordination.
  
  
• Monitor team performance, provide basic training, and ensure excellent customer service standards.
  
  
• Coordinate staff schedules and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  
  
• Conduct stock checks, monitor inventory levels through shop coordinators, and liaise with suppliers for timely replacement. 
  
  
• Ensure workplace tidiness, adherence to company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  
  
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
  
  

Sales & Customer Engagement

• Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and lead on sales activities to achieve them.
  
  
• Lead in upselling and cross-selling strategies to maximise revenue.
  
  
• Initiate field sales activities to increase sales revenue (e.g. product demo, partnerships, etc.).
  
  
• Create selling videos for the social media platforms with a focus on education and product demos.
  
  
• Build and maintain customer relationships, handle escalated customer queries, and resolve issues promptly.
  
  
• Prepare sales reports and provide performance insights to management.
  
  

Marketing & Promotion

• Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, both in-store and online.
  
  
• Manage company social media accounts, create engaging content, and respond to online customer inquiries as necessary
  
  
• Coordinate promotional events, product launches, and seasonal sales.
  
  
• Create promotional materials, coordinate photo shoots of new products or beauty services.
  
  
• Organise customer engagement events, loyalty programs, and special offers to drive foot traffic and online sales.
  
  
• Track marketing performance, customer trends, and competitor activity.
  
  

Key Requirements:

• HND/Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  
  
• At least 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations, or supervisory roles. 
  
  
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  
  
• Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing.
  
  
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and solve problems efficiently.
  
  
• Tech-savvy with good knowledge of MS Office and basic reporting tools.
