Role Overview

As the Director of MarTech Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of talented Senior MarTech Engineers who specialize in architecting and implementing solutions using React, AWS, and other modern technologies. You will work closely with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and clients to define and execute the technical vision for complex MarTech projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. This role requires not only deep technical expertise but also a strong consulting background, executive presence, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Strategy: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Senior MarTech Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
• Client Engagement: Act as a strategic partner to clients, understanding their business objectives and providing thought leadership on MarTech solutions that drive results.
• Project Oversight: Oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of MarTech solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and exceed client expectations.
• Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on technical guidance and support for complex technical challenges, particularly in areas related to React, AWS, and cloud-based MarTech architectures.
• Executive Presence: Communicate effectively with C-level executives and stakeholders, presenting technical concepts in a clear and impactful manner to facilitate decision-making.
• Innovation & Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in MarTech and cloud infrastructure to continuously enhance the quality and capabilities of our solutions.
• Resource & Capacity Planning: Manage team capacity, project allocation, and resource planning to ensure optimal utilization and effective project execution.
• Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product management, marketing, data science, and other departments to align on project goals and deliverables.
• Quality Assurance & Standards: Establish and enforce coding standards, quality assurance processes, and technical documentation practices across all MarTech project

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing MarTech or software engineering teams.
• Proven experience in client-facing roles, particularly within a consulting environment, with a strong track record of delivering successful digital transformation projects
• Deep technical expertise in React, AWS, and cloud-based architectures, with hands-on experience designing and deploying MarTech solutions.
• Strong knowledge of MarTech tools and platforms such as LaunchDarkly, Sentry, Datadog, and marketing analytics tools like Freshpaint.io or Perfanalytics.
• Executive presence with exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of building trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels
• Proven ability to lead and manage technical teams, mentor senior engineers, and drive a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with global enterprise clients and navigating complex organizational structures.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., GCP or Azure) and hybrid cloud environments. AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements related to MarTech solutions
