As an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with Andster Engineering, you will be responsible for contributing to the design and implementation of electrical systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams including mechanical engineer, automation engineer and project managers to deliver high quality solutions on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience required in engineering or related fields.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing electrical engineering practices (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE).
- Experience with industrial automation systems, such as PLCs, DCS, and HMI/SCADA systems.
- Proficiency in electrical engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, LabVIEW, ETAP, SKM Power Tools) and instrumentation programming software (e.g., PLC programming software, SCADA systems).
- Ability to design, analyse, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license may be required or preferred for certain roles, particularly those involving public safety or government contracts.
- Specific industry certifications or credentials related to specialized areas of electrical engineering may also be beneficial.
- Solid understanding of electrical and instrumentation principles, including circuit theory, power systems, electronics, control systems, sensors, transmitters, actuators and electromagnetism.
