Job Summary:
We require a qualified and experienced Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate must have experience working with industrial machinery and control panels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, switchboards, circuit breakers, and lighting systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in production machinery, conveyors, and motors.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with Ghana’s Electrical Wiring Regulations and safety standards.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Replace faulty components (fuses, switches, relays) and ensure zero downtime.
- Adhere to lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) safety procedures when working on live equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of SHS certificate (SHS Graduate) with a technical/vocational background.
- Valid Ghana Card (mandatory).
- Certificate in Electrical Installation (e.g., City & Guilds, NVTI, or recognized technical institution).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical maintenance.
- Knowledge of motors, control panels, and industrial wiring.
- Ability to use electrical testing equipment (multimeters, clamp meters).
- Physically fit and able to work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Must reside in or around Tema (Comm 25 area).
