About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on, innovative, and results-driven Engineering Manager to lead our growing engineering team in a fast-paced startup environment. The ideal candidate is a technical leader who enjoys mentoring engineers, building scalable products, and transforming product ideas into reliable, high-quality software solutions. You will play a key role in executing our technology roadmap while fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing software engineering team.
- Drive the execution of the technology roadmap, ensuring timely and high-quality product delivery.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Business teams to define technical requirements and priorities.
- Design, build, and oversee scalable, secure, and reliable software systems.
- Review code, establish engineering best practices, and maintain high development standards.
- Oversee software architecture, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and application security.
- Manage sprint planning, task prioritization, and engineering workflows.
- Identify technical risks and implement solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Monitor engineering performance and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in software engineering, including at least 1 year leading, mentoring, or managing an engineering team.
- Experience building and scaling SaaS, fintech, or other digital platforms.
- Strong technical expertise in software architecture, APIs, cloud infrastructure, databases, and application security.
- Proficiency in modern software development frameworks, tools, and version control systems.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Builder's mindset with the ability to work in a lean, fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
- Passion for mentoring engineers and driving continuous technical improvement.
