FARM MANAGER

A modern livestock farm in the southern part of the Volta Region is urgently seeking to engage the services of a Farm Manager to oversee all daily operations of the farm.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production: Managing livestock care and welfare.
Staff Management: Hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling farm workers.
Financial Management: Developing budgets, managing farm expenses, and monitoring performance against financial goals
Maintenance & Security: Ensuring machinery and infrastructure are maintained and operating safely.
Compliance: Adhering to environmental and safety regulations.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications
Agricultural Knowledge: In-depth understanding of livestock farming practices.
Management Experience: Experience in staff supervision and operational management
Technical Skills: Proficiency with farm machinery and computer software for record-keeping.
Problem-Solving: Ability to make quick decisions regarding weather, market changes, and farm issues.

Typical Requirements
Education: A degree in agriculture, agri-business, or related field is often preferred, but extensive practical experience can be acceptable.
Working Conditions: The job often requires long hours, weekend work, and physical labor
