GENERAL FOREMAN

Job Purpose
To oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities of foremen, tradespeople, and subcontractors on site.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and specifications to determine work procedures.
• Plan and organize work schedules, ensuring optimal allocation of manpower and resources.
• Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure all workers adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Maintain quality standards and conduct regular site inspections.
• Report on project progress, challenges, and resource needs to management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree, HND, or Trade Certificate in Building Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive experience in construction supervision, with at least 3 years as a General Foreman.
• Proven experience in heavy civil or building construction.
