Job Summary:
The Gym Manager is responsible for the overall operation and management of the gym, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members. This role involves managing staff, overseeing daily activities, and driving business growth through member retention and acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Staff Management:
- Supervise and train gym staff, including personal trainers and front desk personnel.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
2. Member Services:
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve member issues.
- Foster a positive and inclusive gym environment.
3. Operations:
- Oversee daily gym operations, including equipment maintenance and cleanliness.
- Manage opening and closing procedures.
4. Marketing and Sales:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase membership sales and retention.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote gym services.
5. Financial Management:
- Manage gym budgets and expenses.
- Monitor revenue and implement strategies to increase profitability.
6. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of HND in business administration or its equivalent.
- Experience in gym management or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of fitness industry trends and best practices.
