JOB SUMMARY:
To execute daily hatchery operations in line with biosecurity, incubation, and quality control standards to ensure optimal hatchability, chick quality, and operational efficiency.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and control incubation parameters (temperature, humidity, ventilation, turning frequency) in setters and hatchers.
- Load and offload eggs into setters and transfer to hatchers according to incubation schedules.
- Conduct candling and remove infertile or contaminated eggs.
- Record hatchery data including fertility rate, hatchability percentage, embryo mortality.
- Ensure strict compliance with hatchery biosecurity protocols.
- Supervise egg handling, fumigation, and storage processes.
- Monitor chick pull-out, grading, counting, vaccination, and packaging processes.
- Identify and report abnormalities in hatch performance or equipment malfunction.
- Coordinate cleaning and disinfection of hatchery equipment and facility.
- Maintain hatchery inventory of consumables (trays, baskets, disinfectants, vaccines).



REQUIREMENTS:
- HND/B.Sc. in Animal Science, Animal Production, Veterinary Technology, or related field.
- 2–4 years of work experience in a commercial poultry hatchery.
- Practical knowledge of incubation systems and hatchery equipment.
- Experience in data recording and performance monitoring.
- Technical understanding of incubation biology and embryology.
- Strong adherence to biosecurity standards.
- Data accuracy and reporting discipline.
